Madhu’s Wish Class 3 Worksheet

The story is about a small boy Madhu. He has a deep love for different kinds of food. One day, when he is having his lunch under the Banyan tree, an old man comes. Madhu«feels sorry for the man and shares his food with him. This ges¬ture makes the old man happy and he asks Madhu to wish for anything he wants and that will be granted. Madhu is very happy and wishes for different kinds of foods. While eating, he gets hiccups and looks for water but does not find water anywhere. So, he asks for some drinks and get them immediately. But he realises that these drinks do not quench his thirst and the hiccups does not stop. He understands that nothing can replace water and prays to the tree to give him water and wishes all the foods to disappear. Then, a jug of water appears and he quenches his thirst. His hiccups stop and he is no longer thirsty.
