Let Us Read
The story “Badal and Moti” revolves around a boy named Badal and his beloved puppy,
Moti. Badal lives happily with his mother in a village. One day, on his way back from school, Badal finds a puppy shivering in the cold and decides to bring it home. His mother agrees to let the puppy stay, on the condition that Badal takes care of it. They name the puppy Moti, and soon, a strong bond forms between Badal and Moti. They become inseparable, sharing meals, playing games, and spending all their time together.
However, one rainy day, Badal encounters trouble when he slips and falls into a deep pit on his way home from school. Worried when Badal doesn’t return home on time, his mother gathers neighbours to search for him, with Moti eagerly accompanying them. Moti, using his keen sense of smell, locates Badal trapped in the pit and begins barking to alert the neighbours. With Moti’s help, they rescue Badal using a rope, and everyone breathes a sigh of relief. Badal expresses his gratitude to Moti for saving him, reinforcing the strong bond between them.
