The story is about two children Rani and Pratik. Rani asks her mother about how far is the moon and gets to know that it is very far in the sky. She keeps thinking abouf the moon and falls asleep. The next morning, she is woken up by her elder brother, shouting that India is on the Moon. She gets to see photos of some machines on the Moon and hears people discussing on the television about how Chandrayaan has landed on the Moon. But this puts her in confusion and her elder brother says that his friend Vivaan’s mother, Aunt Nandini, is a scientist and she might help them understand. The children go to her and see models and pictures of rockets in the room. She helps them understand how a rocket is used to reach the Moon. Rani hopefully asks if she can go to Moon some day to which Aunt Nandini replies on a positive note.
