Read the following passage.
Nagaland is one of the seven north-east states of India. This state is the home of various tribes and sub-tribes. They have a vigorous craft tradition and every tribe excels in craftsmanship. The fine skills of the Naga people is demonstrated in the different products they make to use in their daily life.
The arts and crafts of this state include the weaving, basketry, woodwork and jewellery making etc. With the help of shell and beads, bird’s wings and flowers, the Naga people.prepare the different kind of things. Pot making is just like weaving and this craft is exclusively a woman’s craft. Moreover, the Naga people can make pots by their hands. For this work, they are competent to make pots without using the potter’s wheel. Their wood-carvings bear religious importance as they are closely associated with their religious beliefs and practices. Further, they also make objects for daily use like utensils, etc.
