- The upper part indicates ‘N’, which means ‘North direction’
- The lower part indicates ‘S’ which means ‘South direction’
- The left part indicates ‘W’, which means ‘West direction’
- The right part indicates ‘E’, which means ‘East direction’.

Direction

→ The Earth has four cardinal directions

Determining Direction Using the Sun
- The Sun rises in the East. If you face the rising Sun, you are facing East.
- Your back will be to the West.
